Eligibility criteria for Veterinary Science


  • Age: The candidate must have attained the minimum age of 17 years and the maximum age of 25 years on or before 31st December 2023. There shall be relaxation of the maximum age by 5 years for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Class candidates.

  • Essential Qualification:

    1. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2 Science or equivalent) as defined under VCI–MSVE Regulations, 2016 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English (as a core course). The equivalent qualification must be from an Indian University, or the Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English, and

    2. The candidates under General Category must have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks (47.5% in case of SC/ST/other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time) in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology in the qualifying examination.


Note:


  • The Candidates whose final result / marks sheet is declared in grade points (CGPA/OGPA) at 12th Standard or equivalent examination, shall have to produce certificate of conversion formula, duly signed and issued by the competent authority at the time of admission.

  • The candidate having education in other countries / abroad, should produce a “Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination qualified by the candidate (in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English) is equivalent to class 12th examination”.


  • Physical Disability:

    The admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course shall not be allowed in the case of candidates suffering from following disabilities:

    • Disability of total body (including chest or spine) more than 50%

    • Disability of lower limb of more than 50%

    • Disability of Upper limb

    • Visually handicapped and those with hearing disability

    • Progressive diseases like myopathies etc.

    • Disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a veterinarian.

      Note: 

      • The disability of the candidate must be certified by a Government authorized Medical Board comprising of at least three specialities out of which two shall be of the speciality concerned. The candidate should present him or her-self before the Medical Board and the last valid disability certificate of the candidate from a Medical Board shall not be more than three months old from the date of submitting his or her certificate for claiming seat under disabled category.

  • Reservation:

    It shall be as per Government Reservation Policy.
